The 2017 International Technology Enhanced Assessment Conference (TEA 2017) will take place on

5-6 October 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.

The International TEA is a two-day research-led conference organised by the Universitat Oberta De Catalunya (UOC) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).

The conference is a unique event connecting researchers, practitioners and policy makers to address current challenges and advances in the field of E-Assessment.

The aim is to advance the understanding and application of information technology to the assessment process (e-assessment) through peer-reviewed contributions from the research and practice sector.

The supporting project is TeSLA wich guidelines fit in the framework of TeA Conference as TeSLA project provides to educational institutions, an adaptive trust e-assessment system for assuring e-assessment processes in online and blended environments. It will support both continuous and final assessment to improve the trust level across students, teachers and institutions. The system will be developed taking into account quality assurance agencies in education, privacy and ethical issues and educational and technological requirements throughout Europe.

The computer has certainly transformed assessment substantially in the early era of E-Assessment. Today, we use many different technologies to gather data during assessment tasks, to analyse large amounts of data or to give comprehensive feedback using ICT. Further, technologies open new doors for assessing skills which couldn’t be assessed before. The new conference label TEA should reflect these developments.

The target of TEA 2017 Conference will be to represent the state-of-the-art and different perspectives on the conception, development, evaluation and implementation of technology enhanced assessment in different sectors like primary education, secondary (vocational) education, higher (vocational) education but also professional learning and non-formal learning.

TEA 2017 will aim to advance the understanding and application of information technology to the assessment process (E-Assessment) through peer-review contributions from the research and practice sector.

As in previous years, the conference will be of particular interest to those involved in the pedagogical and technical aspects of e-Assessment and those involved in strategy, policy and implementation, such as managers and support services.
